This year’s event marks a poignant moment of transition\, the concert jointly conducted by outgoing Music Director Carlos del Cueto and his successor Chris Watson. \nThe concert begins with musical treasures from the masters of early choral composition\, including Monteverdi’s magnificent Beatus Vir\, then takes a short detour to the New World with a trio of gorgeous Mexican folk songs. After the interval\, the concert transforms into a glorious celebration of Christmas\, including carol settings by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gustav Holst\, and readings fitting for the season.
