DESCRIPTION:At the afternoon matinee concert\, the RMP Oratorio Festival Choir and Orchestra will present a magnificent one hour long concert featuring Forrest’s acclaimed ‘Requiem for the Living’\, as well as a short program of beautiful sacred works for choir and orchestra. \nAt the evening Gala\, the 6 Finalists of the 2025 RMP ARIA will battle it out for the chance to win Australia’s most prestigious oratorio singing competition. At the end of the Final\, RMP Chief Conductor Andrew Wailes will conduct a performance of Forrest’s ‘Requiem for the Living’ featuring over 150 performers of the RMP Oratorio Festival Choir with Full Orchestra and outstanding soloists. \nPlease note that the Aria Final will only take place at 7pm. Completed in 2013\, it is a non-conventional and extended setting of the Requiem Mass\, scored for boy soprano\, soprano\, choir and orchestra\, and organ.
