SUMMARY:Noel Fidge: The Eisteddfod
DESCRIPTION:A new play called The Eisteddfod involving five actor/singers who also perform art songs during the performance. It is written and Directed by Noel Fidge and co-produced by Sally-Anne Russell. \nYou will be delighted by this bitter sweet comedy\, which is performed by a very talented cast of actor/singers\, including Sophie Bisset\, Alex Owens\, Lucy Schneider and Raymond Kong. Elyane Laussade\, the renowned concert pianist and accompanist\, is featured in a major role. \nBrief Synopsis\nA group of aspiring singers of ‘serious’ music\, particularly Art songs\, visit Tanya Gibson to rehearse songs written by a deceased composer\, an entrance requirement for the Bradford Eisteddfod which offers generous prizemoney and overseas study for the winners. The composer deliberately avoided notating expression symbols or text because he considered them ‘irrelevant distractions to his music.’ Tanya was his favourite accompanist and because she understands his intentions\, the young singers will benefit from her coaching. They get much more than they bargained for when a bombshell is dropped by one of the entrants and side-tracked by Tanya’s husband Robert who shares his long acquaintanceship with the dead composer. \n\nWednesday 14 June 2023 – Saturday 17 June 2023 (UTC+10)  8:00 PM – 9:30 PM\n\nStudio 1\, 34 Little Turner St\, Abbotsford Vic 3067\n\n Get directions\n\nTICKETS: $25.00 – $45.00
