DESCRIPTION:Acclaimed British concert pianist Yasmin Rowe returns to Montsalvat\, this time with a sensational solo programme of some of the greatest composers. \nProgram: \n\n\nJ. S Bach’s 15 three- part inventions were originally written as studies for his students.  However\, they are truly miniature masterpieces- as a whole\, they create a sense of profoundness while each one possesses a particular personality and a delight to listen to. \n\n\nBrahms’s two rhapsodies in B minor and G minor respectively are the epitome of romantic piano works. These works are strong\, dark and dramatic with lustrous harmony. \n\n\nThe Bach-Busoni Chaconne in D minor is a transcription of an incredible movement from J.S Bach’s Partita No 2 for violin.  This revised work takes full advantage of the enormous capabilities of the piano while still staying true to the original theme. \n\n\nMozart’s Sonata in C Major K330 is one of his most popular piano sonatas.  In three delightful and contrasting movements\, this work has an abundance of wit\, energy and drama\, with themes you will recall for days!
