DESCRIPTION:The City of Stonnington is celebrating Christmas in July this year with a Viennese style benefit concert in support of Glenloch\, a not-for-profit providing affordable independent living for aged pensioners. \nJoin Melbourne’s finest singers and musicians for an elegant winter gala celebration at the stunning Malvern Town Hall on Saturday 30 July\, 7.30pm \nThe gala hosted by ABC’s Mairi Nicolson\, will feature renowned soloists Rosamund Illing\, Roxane Hislop\, Henry Choo and John Bolton Wood. This glittering quartet of song will be supported by the Australian Children’s Choir and a full orchestra\, led by Pat Miller. \nPatrons will enjoy highlights from Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio\, along with beloved European Christmas carols including Stille Nacht (Silent Night) and O Tannenbaum (Oh Christmas Tree).
