DESCRIPTION:Heidelberg Choral Society (HCS) presents My Spirit Rejoices\, a concert featuring three best loved choral works. \nBach’s Magnificat\, plus uplifting works by Handel and Gounod\, all feature in this concert on Saturday\, November 30. \nMusical Director Peter Bandy says the three pieces have been picked for the program to create a stirring evening’s entertainment. “There is something special when hearing these fine compositions back-to-back. Each is a skilful and distinctive anthem of praise.” \nUnder the direction of Peter Bandy\, the choir and orchestra will perform Bach’s Magnificat\, Handel’s The King Shall Rejoice\, and Gounod’s St Cecilia Mass. \nHeidelberg Choral Society will be joined by eminent soloists Cristina Russo (Soprano)\, Shakira Dugan (Mezzo Soprano)\, Robert Macfarlane (Tenor)\, and Markus Matheis (Baritone). \nThe concert venue is close to Ivanhoe station. Car parking available behind the town hall.
