SUMMARY:Images of Bach
DESCRIPTION:The six suites by J.S. Bach for solo violoncello hold a special place in many musical hearts. Experiencing the journey from the iconic prelude of Suite No.1\, to the triumphant and jolly gigue of Suite No.6 in one concert\, is a monumental and transcendent occasion. \nCellist\, Zoe Knighton and photographer Pia Johnson take this one step further as each of the thirty-six movements is paired with a projected image. Imagery and music combine to further heighten the emotions of the work. \nPerformed in one concert with interval\, audience will be served a glass of Delatite wine and a light snack as part of the ticket price. \n*Zoe Knighton is currently the 2020 fortyfivedownstairs musician in residence.
