Known for her ‘thrilling tenor sound’ (Limelight)\, and sublime phrasing\, Zoe is a cellist and founding member of Flinders Quartet\, one of Australia’s finest chamber ensembles. Amir Farid is an award-winning New York-based Iranian-Australian solo pianist. Described as a ‘highly creative musician\,’ he brings strong musical substance to all that he does\, imbuing it with his own experience and understanding. A perfect pairing\, witness their undeniable stage dynamic as they return from a recent striking debut at Carnegie Hall which had listeners ‘hanging on to every note’ (Legato Arts). \nIn this intimate Salon experience\, Zoe and Amir will perform three sonatas that epitomise the lyrical possibilities of cello and piano\, featuring two exciting discoveries set to become staples of the canon.
