DESCRIPTION:“This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely\, more beautifully\, more devotedly than ever before” – Leonard Bernstein \nPlease join us in commemorating International Women’s Day 2016 with a concert of newly-commissioned works by some of Australia’s most exciting young composers\, performed by some of Melbourne’s brightest young musicians. \nNew works by:\nLisa Cheney\nAlice Humphries\nMay Lyon\nJessica Wells\nSamantha Wolf \nMusicians:\nTamara Kohler\nAaron Klein\nKyla Matsuura-Miller\nGemma Tomlinson\nAdam McMillan \nEntry is by donation\, with 100% of proceeds being donated to the Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre. \nThis concert is generously supported by the Alan C. Rose Memorial Trust Scholarship and the University of Melbourne.
