DESCRIPTION:The MTO German-Australian Opera Grant aims to promote emerging Australian opera singers in the development stage of their professional career.  \nMore Than Opera has worked closely with with the philanthropist Hans Henkell since 2000 to help young Australian artists gain the necessary skills to work at world standards. The aim of the German-Australian Opera Grant is to promote emerging Australian opera singers in the early stage of their professional life with operatic stage experience capable of meeting the high quality standards of this major German Opera House. \n\nThe German-Australian Opera Grant recipient will be granted a twelve-month employment contract (August 2024 – July 2025) with the renowned Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden plus one month’s German tuition at the Goethe-Institut and one month’s work experience at the Opera House in June 2024.
