SUMMARY:We Remember: A Musical Reflection on the ANZAC Spirit
DESCRIPTION:We remember and reflect on the spirit and sacrifice of the ANZAC through words and music. Presented in the magnificent South Melbourne Town Hall\, home of the Australian National Academy of Music\, Chime Choir remembers the contribution and sacrifice of so many in time of war. In true ANZAC spirit\, Chime is joined by the  fine voices of the Hamilton Civic Choir from New Zealand\, with whom we shared the stage at Carnegie Hall in April\, 2018. Complementing  beautiful choral music\, including works by Karl Jenkins and John Rutter\, are the majestic tones of the Boroondara Brass ensemble.

DESCRIPTION:The Chime Choir is thrilled to present the music of Norwegian-born composer\, Ola Gjeilo. Ola now works in the U.S.A. and writes choral music that is a rich tapestry of lush harmony\, cinematic tone colour\, and which captures the human experience. \nThe concert features the Australian premiere of two works which Chime had the pleasure of performing at Carnegie Hall\, New York\, this April. Dreamweaver is  based on a medieval Norwegian folk tale\, and Song of the Universal is set to poetry by Walt Whitman.. \nChime is joined by Southern Voices\, soprano soloist Alexandra Mathew\, pianist Coral Rafferty\, and a group of Melbourne’s finest string musicians.
