Celebrating 60 years of gorgeous music-making, the Tudor Choristers’ Diamond Anniversary concert conducted by Dr Kathleen McGuire pays tribute to David Carolane OAM who founded the choir in 1962 and served as music director for 25 years. The choir will be joined by alumni and friends – comprising the new Jacobeans (Tudor Choristers Alumni Association) – plus the Albury-based Carolane Choir directed by Margaret Phillips, and special guests Shauntai Batzke (soprano), Jerzy Kozlowski (baritone), Hugh Fullarton (organ) and Janette Patton (piano). The program includes music by Cheetham, Bach, Bennett, Byrd, Farrant, Gibbons, Sullivan, Vaughan Williams, Wilbye, plus a grand finale bringing all performers together for selections from Fauré’s Requiem.
