The Chime Choir is thrilled to present the music of Norwegian-born composer, Ola Gjeilo. Ola now works in the U.S.A. and writes choral music that is a rich tapestry of lush harmony, cinematic tone colour, and which captures the human experience.
The concert features the Australian premiere of two works which Chime had the pleasure of performing at Carnegie Hall, New York, this April. Dreamweaver isĀ based on a medieval Norwegian folk tale, and Song of the Universal is set to poetry by Walt Whitman..
Chime is joined by Southern Voices, soprano soloist Alexandra Mathew, pianist Coral Rafferty, and a group of Melbourne’s finest string musicians.
