Discover the musical colours and styles that flourished throughout Europe during the tumultuous revolutionary era. From François Devienne’s fateful Paris of 1789, the ensemble travels through the expressive world of C.P.E. Bach’s Hamburg, Beethoven’s passionate Vienna and fashionable London with music by Ferdinand Ries. Serenading us with Beethoven’s infinitely charming Notturno and the dramatic elegance of Bach’s Quartet, the ensemble immerses us in the musical delights that came out of this exceptional chapter of history.
