The Elixir of Love

Don’t miss this innovative production in its sole Melbourne performance after a Victorian tour. Based on the touring productions that were popular on the goldfields in the 19th Century, GBD Productions presents Mr Lyster’s Touring Colonial Opera.  Donizetti’s delightful opera, The Elixir of Love, comes to St Paul’s Anglican Church, 2 Margaret St Canterbury, on Saturday 4 May at 2pm. The cast includes rising young soprano Piera Dennerstein as Adina, Herald Sun Aria finalist and 2019 Green Room nominee baritone Michael Lampard as Belcore, tenor Nick Seidenman as Nemorino, Tahlia Murphy as Gianetta, bass-baritone Jamie Moffat in the dual role of director and Dulcamara, and musical director Pamela Christie at the piano. A fine ensemble including Jessica Joan Graham, Lara Vocisano, Josh Morton-Galea and Steven Touzel round out the cast.
