The Consort of Melbourne is a vocal ensemble that champions both historic and contemporary repertoire. They bring 1000 years of vocal harmony to life with an intimacy and verve that leaves audiences spell-bound.

About the concert

A concert of ancient texts brought to life with luscious vocal harmonies. Their performance in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall presents works by Ola Gjeilo, Ildebrando Pizzetti, Christopher Theofanidis and Orlande de Lassus, based on poetry by Sappho and Rumi as well as excerpts from the Song of Songs and a new work by Melbourne Recital Centre composition award winner Irene Zhong.
