All of the music in this program has been written by contemporary, Australian composers, mostly harpists themselves. They all share an intimate knowledge of the instrument and its techniques. The works are inspired by the Yoruba Religion, the Australian landscape, bamboo forests, the Earth’s vibrations, and Greek modes and rhythms. The featured composers are Stuart Greenbaum, Eve Duncan, Mary Doumany, Natalia Mann, and Katia Mestrovic.
