Join us for an intimate soirée in the historic Drawing Room at Glenfern featuring music by Bach, Debussy, Chopin and Liszt.
Elizabeth Sellars (violin) and Rohan Murray (piano) perform Bach’s Sonata in E-major BWV 1016 for violin & keyboard and Debussy’s mercurial Sonata for violin & piano. Rohan Murray and Robert Chamberlain collaborate for a piano duet arrangement of Liszt’s famous Hungarian Rhapsody no 2, while Robert Chamberlain takes us on a journey through the music of Chopin with Nocturne in E minor Op. 72 no 1, Five Mazurkas Op. 7, the ever-popular Fantaisie-Impromptu and the Scherzo no 2 in B flat minor Op. 31. This delightful program will be performed twice on Sunday June 18, firstly at 3pm, then a repeat performance at 6.30pm. You can also enjoy refreshments with other audience members, provided by the Friends of the Team of Pianists, at the conclusion of the 3:00pm recital.
