Songmakers Australia presents: Schubertiade

A weekend festival dedicated to the music of Franz Schubert in the stunning Hawthorn Arts Centre Chandelier Room – tickets now on sale!
Over two days, this event will feature some of the composer’s most beloved songs (including Gretchen am Spinnrade, Du bist die Ruh, An die Musik), his most famous song cycle – Winterreise, chamber music gems such as The Trout Quintet and the haunting Fantasie in F for piano 4 hands, and his last composition, The Shepherd on the Rock.
This event has been curated by Songmakers Australia’s artistic director Andrea Katz.
Alongside some of Australia’s most outstanding chamber music players, these performances will feature core members of Songmakers Australia as well as members of the 2019 Songmakers Developing Artist program.
