KIAZMA Piano Duo gives audiences a rare opportunity to experience this epic work, one of the most glorious and significant neglected works by a major composer, in concert. The sublime Variations in A-flat on an Original Theme was composed in the same year, and, together with the Grand Duo, mark Schubert’s rediscovery of a sense of “happiness and peace”.
