XL Arts Incorporated, conducted by Patrick Burns and directed by Liane Keegan (pictured), presents Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák in a chamber arrangement by Fraser Goulding. Sung in the original Czech and featuring the performers of XL Arts Rusalka Project.
Inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen tale of The Little Mermaid, Dvořák’s Rusalka is the tragic tale of a water sprite who gives up everything to pursue the love of a prince and falls victim to a lustful betrayal. Set to some of Dvořák’s most romantic and sensuous music, including the famous Song to the Moon.
