Peninsula Summer Music Festival 2026: Young Artist – Theonie Wang, Violin

This performance showcases a dynamic and expressive program through the voice of violin and piano. Beethoven’s fiery Kreutzer Sonata contrasts beautifully with the lyrical tenderness of Amy Beach’s Romance. Together, these works reflect a wide emotional spectrum—and a deep personal connection I feel with both pieces. Distinguished violinist Theonie Wang is known for her musical sensitivity and flair. Recent highlights include performing as soloist with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov, James Ehnes and performing alongside the Australian String Quartet. She served as Concertmaster for AYO’s 2024 Seasons and Associate Concertmaster on their most recent international tour.
