Join local up-and-comers SPELL in picturesque surrounds as they illuminate the many faces of Romanticism. Allow yourself to be swept away by the passion and brilliance of Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major (1842), a cornerstone of the chamber music repertoire. Then, dive into the evocative waters of Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet in F-sharp minor (1907), celebrated for its unique blend of poetic lyricism and impressionistic hues. It’s not often that audiences are treated to two piano quintets in one concert, let alone two bona fide masterpieces.
