Peninsula Summer Music Festival 2024: Hair of the Dog – Tango Noir

January 1 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$65
Hair of the Dog: Tango Noir

Influenced by European tango and waltz, evoking the atmosphere of a 1930’s French Salon, this performance combines lush arrangements with Ruth’s bittersweet lyrics to create music which is both elegant and beautiful, new and nostalgic all at the same time. Ruth Roshan began learning the mandolin at the age of five, and has played professionally since she was a teenager, performing and touring with her ensembles, Nougat and Ruth Roshan & Tango Noir as well as mandolinist with orchestras including Orchestra Victoria and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with Russia‘s Remolino Ensemble in St Petersburg, toured with Tango Noir in Italy and performed with various ensembles in Switzerland, the US and England.

Ruth Roshan – Mandolin / Vocals, Ben Opie – Oboe, Phil Carroll – Accordian, Stefan Cassomenos – Piano, Nils Hobiger – Cello, Atilla Kuti – Violin
