Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields Special Event

Festival audience members are invited by Damon O’Donoghue to visit his music room in Daylesford to see and hear his large, rare 1906 Orchestrelle – an automated reed organ which uses pianola type rolls. This instrument is identical to the one owned by Mark Twain. Such instruments may well have provided dance music entertainment on Mississippi paddle steamers.
