Few conductors in Australia’s history can equal the impact and inspiration of Nicolette Fraillon AM. A dynamic artistic leader, she has passionately guided Orchestra Victoria and The Australian Ballet as Music Director and Chief Conductor for nearly 20 years, and Orchestra Victoria as Artistic Director from 2014.
As she prepares to pass on this baton, join Orchestra Victoria for a very special Morning Melodies, and take a journey through her life in music. Handpicked by Nicolette for their significance in her life and career, favourites from Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky will be interwoven by Nicolette live in conversation with one of her closest colleagues and collaborators, former Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet, David McAllister AC.
