Opening Night: The Flying Dutchman

Victorian Opera’s ground-breaking production of The Flying Dutchman will feature 3D digital scenery, in a world first for a full-length opera, and see audience members wear 3D glasses. Melbourne’s former hub for opera in the 60s and 70s, the production also marks the return of grand opera to the historic Palais Theatre.

Taking the helm of the world’s most famous ghost ship will be seasoned Dutchman performer Oskar Hillebrandt as the cursed captain;  joined by celebrated soprano Lori Phillips as Senta.

Opening night February 14, with further performances on February 17 & 19
