American harpist Emily Granger joins Omega Ensemble for the first time in a sparkling program of trios for harp, violin and cello. From the French charm of Ibert’s Trio for Violin, Cello and Harp and Saint-Saëns’ Fantaisie, to the dark Russian flavours of Glinka’s Drei Russische Lieder (Three Russian Songs) and the frantic energy of Fratres by celebrated Estonian composer Arvo Pärt.
This program also features a world premiere work by Aria Award-winning pianist and composer Sally Whitwell, commissioned for Emily Granger and Omega Ensemble.
