The Centre’s series of Relaxed Performances are specifically suited for audiences with sensory sensitivities, using altered lighting, more in-depth musical explanations and accompanying access resources.
In this performance, Nat Bartsch shares her latest album Forever Changed; an introspective reflection of transformation.
In the six years since her son was born, Nat’s life has been transformed time and time again. Part of the wave of women receiving late-in-life diagnoses of autism and ADHD, Nat spent much of her time during the pandemic supporting other neurodivergent people while also navigating a divorce, and a new relationship, all while exploring her own ADHD traits and how they connect to her music-making.
In Forever Changed, Nat reflects all of these transformations with a new suite of lullabies all intended to resonate with the neurodivergent community. Featuring her inimitable meditative piano style, Forever Changed explores the unique sensory preferences and needs of autistic and ADHD, all crafted in consultation with music therapists and other neurodivergent people.
