Monash Chorale: Let’s celebrate! 30 Years of Monash Chorale
We will perform music from Purcell’s Ode to St Cecilia (1692) , and Handel’s Alexander’s Feast or The Power of Music (1736), and the beautiful St Cecilia Mass by Gounod (1878).
There will also be two works which have been composed and or arranged for the Monash Chorale for our anniversary concert. Richard Excell’s ‘Quod Musica Est’ (What music is), and Kathryn Sadler’s ‘Hymn to St Cecilia’.
With professional soloists and orchestral musicians and our talented musical director Lucas de Jong, it promises to be a joyful musical anniversary.
This event will be Live Streamed with the recording also available until 30 May.
If you are unable to attend our lovely concert, please feel free to book to watch it live from the comfort of wherever you choose – or watch it later.
We will send you a Link so that you can log in and watch.
