Melbourne Symphony Orchestra: Jaime Martín conducts Bruch and Dvořák

Join the MSO and violinist Jack Liebeck under the baton of Jaime Martín in an unmissable concert featuring one of the most popular violin concertos in the repertoire.

This performance includes s a newly commissioned work by Australian living legend Paul Grabowsky AO.

Australian musical legend Paul Grabowsky AO is known for his incredible versatility and virtuosity. Paul is a long-time friend of the MSO, and we are thrilled to present the world premiere of this work as the culmination of his time as MSO Composer in Residence.

Renowned violinist Jack Liebeck has performed as a soloist with top orchestras around the world and here he performs Bruch’s virtuosic Violin Concerto. Full of soaring and seductive melodies, it’s no wonder this work has become an audience favourite around the world.

Inspired by the folk music of Bohemia, Czech composer Dvořák’s pastoral Fifth Symphony is a musical distillation of the landscape of his homeland and a joyful ode to its beauty, quirks, and natural features.
