Melbourne’s newest chamber choir presents a programme of miniature masterpieces with connections to the periods of the two world wars. Music by Americans and by composers with connections to America from 1916—1943 and beyond, including Barber’s sublime Agnus Dei and his Three Reincarnations, excerpts from the Vespers by Rachmaninov and Britten’s stunning unaccompanied Hymn to St Cecilia, with a collection of songs and arias sung by our own MBC Scholars.
