Celebrated London-based Australian pianist, Jayson Gillham is known for his bright toned clarity and appealing warmth. Recognised as one of the finest players of his generation, Gillham takes to the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall stage to perform works by Bach and Chopin.
The selected repertoire was inspired by his read-through of Bach partitas and Chopin waltzes in early 2020. Gillham found himself drawn to the lilt of the dance, calling to mind the gathering of people in good spirit; it is this image that prompted the young virtuoso to return to Australian stages with his two faithful musical companions. Gillham’s relentless elegance and Romantic spirit will hold him in good stead for this unmissable performance.
