In June, HSO presents music to evoke the romantic and revolutionary in stories near and far. Hummel’s sweeping concerto is brought to life by the agile Jack Schiller, Principal Bassoon of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Mozart’s “Haffner”, originally written as party music for Salzburg, crackles with energy and tireless invention. John William’s film score from the legendary Star Wars films awakens the force in all of us with the Symphonic Suite from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For all Star Wars fans, young and old, this concert is not to be missed!
