Gloriana is excited to announce its September concert — Glorious Hill: choral works by Tavener, Whitacre, Bryars and others.
Highlights of the programme include Eric Whitacre’s spellbinding Sainte-Chapelle, a work inspired by the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, and Sir John Tavener’s Funeral Canticle, a deeply moving tribute to the late composer’s father.
The programme also features the atmospheric Glorious Hill by English composer Gavin Bryars, Arvo Pärt’s iconic Fratres and highlights from the Red Book of Montserrat.
In the superb acoustics of Sacred Heart Carlton, this programme is not to be missed.
