Fallen Light

After two wonderfully successful concerts in Sydney in March where Johanna Selleck teamed up with pianist Sumiko Yamamura and premiered three new works* for flute and piano it seemed logical, indeed essential to perform those works again and expand the concert to include some other leading composers and performers from Melbourne.

The compositions for trumpet and guitar are from the repertoire that Joel Brennan and Ken Murray premiered in Albania & Kosovo in 2024.

Pianist Kevin Tamanini is the soloist in Don’t Go Through that Door by Colin McKellar as well as working with Selleck in four flute and piano works.
