IN THIS INNOVATIVE PRESENTATION, ANAM’S HEAD OF PIANO, TIMOTHY YOUNG, WILL LEAD A TEAM OF ANAM PIANISTS IN A ROUND-ROBIN THROUGH BEETHOVEN’S MASTERWORK, AT TWO PIANOS.

• Along with Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Beethoven’s set of 33 variations on a theme by his contemporary Anton Diabelli is considered a pinnacle of the keyboard repertoire
• Beethoven takes Diabelli’s simple waltz melody and transforms into myriad expressive shapes, in an epic work that, over the course of an hour or so, reaches deeply into a vast emotional world. In many ways this is music that touches on the essence of our humanity
