Deborah Humble Recital

Mezzo-soprano Deborah Humble thrilled audiences with her performances as Erda and Waltraute in the Neil Armfield production of The Ring by Wagner for Opera Australia late in 2013.
Tonight’s program contains the Wesendonck Lieder by Wagner, the Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy Songs) by Brahms, and two Brahms songs with viola and piano.
In 2006 Deborah became a Principal Mezzo with the State Opera of Hamburg and sang Erda ( Das Rheingold), Schwertleite (Die Walküre), Erda (Siegfried) and 1st Norn and Waltraute (Götterdämmerung) for the Claus Guth/Simone Young Ring Cycle among her many roles.
In this recital Deborah performs with pianist Raymond Lawrence and violist Jennifer Brasch.
