Hawthorn Arts Centre presents the iconic Camerata Orchestra with a special double event to celebrate the iconic ensemble’s jubilee year.
The grand venue has issued a special invitation to classical music fans to get up close with conductor and orchestra in dress rehearsal, followed by a full afternoon concert of selected Mozart, Schubert and Tchaikovsky repertoire.
The venue is offering a special behind-the-curtains opportunity for families, students and music aficionados to experience a morning with a full orchestra during dress rehearsal in a grand concert hall.
‘Music From the Inside’ is a rare chance to get up close and personal with the ensemble as conductor Doug Heywood OAM and host Nick Tolhurst takes the musicians through rehearsal and introduces them and their repertoire to the audience.
Presented in partnership with Boroondara Arts in the grand surrounds of Hawthorn Arts Centre’s Main Hall, the Camerata Orchestra then presents a full concert of repertoire selected to celebrate the milestone.
