Works for string quartet and sextet, for the transfiguration and enlightenment of the mind. Featuring Schoenberg’s famous and mesmerising Transfigured Night for string sextet and three works by cutting-edge American string composers Gabriella Smith, Caroline Shaw and Leilehua Lanzilotti.
Established in 2022, Melbourne Strings comprises top classical string players from Melbourne. MS celebrates the virtuosity and beauty of stringed instruments and have presented engaging and original programs at the Hanson Dyer Hall, New Music Studio concert series at the Melbourne Conservatorium and have been recipients of the City of Melbourne Arts Grant.
