In the beautiful acoustic of the Trinity College Chapel, high tenor Leighton Triplow presents a recital of Baroque and new Australian music. He will be joined by fellow musicians Ellie Walker (cello), David Macfarlane (harpsichord) and Rhodri Clarke (piano).
Programme highlights include the rarely heard setting of The Lamentations of Jeremiah the Prophet by Johann Rosenmüller, plus an assortment of English Restoration secular songs by composers including Jeremiah Clarke, John Eccles and of course, Henry Purcell. Maria Marcelli’s Missa Brevis No.1 and the Three Gogarty Songs by Calvin Bowman provide a glimpse at the creative talents our city has to offer.
We hope you will be able to join us for this free lunchtime event to kick off the festive season.
