The ABC of the Aria Nominations

As a proud defender of our ABC, Classic Melbourne applauds the national broadcaster’s performance in the Nominations for the 2015 Aria Awards – Fine Arts And Artisan Awards.

Toby Chadd, Manager, ABC Classics and Jazz, summarises the achievements thus:

ABC Music receives 14 nominations across six categories

The ABC Classics and Jazz label takes four of the five available Best Classical Album nominations, and three of the five available Best Jazz Album nominations

Every one of the 12 nominated albums features a world-premiere recording of a contemporary Australian work

ABC Classics has now received 100 nominations for Best Classical Album since the ARIA Awards began in 1987.
