Transfigured Ensemble presents Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations, arranged for string trio by Dmitry Sitkovetsky in 1984.
Inspired by the famous 1981 recording of pianist Glenn Gould, this incredible arrangement treats the three string players as equal partners, offering a singing, intimate and often intense re-imagining of the 30 variations, framed by the opening and closing arias.
