The Brunswick Beethoven Festival – Concert Five: Kristian Winther, Violin & Konstantin Shamray, Piano

February 7 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$20 – $35

Join us for the 18th Brunswick Beethoven Festival. This year, we are delighted to present a rich program of fine chamber music.
Kristian Winther is a celebrated violinist and energetic chamber musician who has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras across Australia and New Zealand.
Kristian performs on a violin crafted by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, Paris, 1859, on generous loan from UKARIA Cultural Centre. Formerly of the award-winning TinAlley String Quartet, he is known for premiering new works and performs on a rare 1859 violin.
He is joined by Konstantin Shamray, an exhilarating pianist who made history by winning both First and People’s Choice prizes at the 2008 Sydney International Piano Competition. Konstantin performs with leading orchestras worldwide and is a regular highlight at prestigious festivals. Together, these virtuosos bring exceptional technique and musical passion to the stage.

Ludwig van Beethoven – Sonata in A major opus 30 no.1
Clara Schumann – Three Romances for violin and piano, opus 22
Sergei Prokofiev – Sonata no.2 for violin and piano opus 94bis
