Harry Hodgman – Solo Piano

Harry Hodgman is a contemporary songwriter for solo piano based in Melbourne, originally from New Zealand. His latest output has been primarily recording fully improvised instrumental albums with a punk-rock approach to recording the raw texture between creating and the instrument itself.

Harry is a unique contribution to Melbourne’s music scene, and an artist not commonly found in this hemisphere. Most likely, you will find him busking with his own grand piano around the Yarra River. Writing original soundtracks for films in your head, this piano player has musical godfathers like Chilly Gonzales, Scott Joplin, Brad Mehldau, Antony & The Johnsons, and Max Richter.
