Preston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition

The annual Preston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition is a feast of performance for classical music lovers! Six of Melbourne’s most talented young musicians play a concerto movement with full orchestral accompaniment. This year’s program includes works by Mozart, Schumann, Lalo, Elgar, Saint-Saëns and Rachmaninov, under the baton of conductor Carlos del Cueto. The winner will be judged by pianist Kristian Chong – with everyone having a vote for the Audience Prize
