Marking the 130th birthday of the German-American composer, violist, music theorist, conductor and teacher Paul Hindemith in a concert featuring works that embody his philosophy of making quality music accessible for all instruments. Join pianist Konstantin Shamray, violinist Curt Thompson, clarinettist David Griffith, trumpeter Joel Brennan, and cellist Richard Narroway in celebration of a composer who rarely leaves the audience indifferent, revealing the beauty of this music. The program includes Second and Third piano sonatas, Sonata for Trumpet and piano, and almost alien Quartet for clarinet, violin, cello and piano.
