After a stellar 2024 orchestral return, the Australasian Orchestra (AO) will commence 2025 explosively with Dmitri Shostakovich‘s exciting (& his most famous work) Symphony No. 5! Also in the concert, the orchestra will perform Felix Mendelssohn‘s perfect Hebrides Overture, Australian composer George Dreyfus‘s picturesque Rush (theme from the Australian TV show), & Max Bruch‘s timeless Kol Nidrei with AO’s Minh-Quan Nguyen as the cello soloist. The concert will be conducted by the orchestra’s Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Robert Dora.
