The rhapsodic combination of viola and mezzo-soprano timbres has inspired some of the most gloriously beautiful vocal chamber music.
Together with guest artist Brett Dean, Songmakers Australia explores the well-known lyricism of Brahms and the more obscure expressionism of Joseph Marx, intertwined with the acme of viola romantic repertoire, Schumann’s Fairy Tales (Märchenbilder).
