Lotte Betts-Dean, UK based Australian mezzo soprano joins renowned Australian organist, pianist and composer Calvin Bowman for an intimate recital in the beautiful acoustic setting of St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Richmond.
Featuring 20th century and contemporary works by Margaret Sutherland, Percy Grainger, Brett Dean, Calvin Bowman, Benjamin Britten, Gerald Finzi, Josephine Stephenson and more.
Lotte Betts-Dean, praised by the Guardian for her “unmissable urgent musicality and irrepressible sense of drama”, makes a fleeting visit to Melbourne following her concerts in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville.
Calvin Bowman is a Yale doctoral graduate, Fulbright scholar and an exclusive Decca/ UMA artist. He released a CD of his original art songs titled “Real and Right and True” in July 2018.
